What is it?
The Synergy Family Services Summer Sessions are short, impactful, Community Health Worker (CHW)-led life skills day camp-style workshops for children and youth of various ages. These sessions are meant to build meaningful connections between youth, and provide youth in our community with a fun, enriching, and empowering experience.
We believe that every child holds unique strengths and untapped potential – and this session helps them discover and grow those inner superpowers. Through project-based learning, games, and team building, participants will explore emotional regulation, communication, healthy decision-making, and friendship skills in a supportive and trauma-informed environment.
By offering this program, we aim to:
Support local working families with a high-quality, affordable summer option for their kids.
Help kids build confidence, social-emotional tools, and peer connections.
Provide Medi-Cal billable services that reach and uplift youth from under-served areas.
Cultivate a safe space where each child feels seen, celebrated, and equipped for the summer and school year ahead.
Our intended impact is not just individual growth – it is the creation of stronger communities through empowered youth. By the end of each session, participants will leave with a toolkit of life skills and a greater belief in themselves and their role in the world around them.

Life Skills Curriculum
Our curriculum is social-emotional learning-based, interactive, and hands-on. Participants can expect to be physically moving, expressing themselves through art, and building relationships with others through a learning approach that helps students build real-world skills while learning to trust themselves and navigate the world with curiosity and confidence.
Each day, participants will feel empowered to discover their inner superpowers through confidence-building projects that foster friendships, emotional growth, and healthy habits.
Please note: This is a tentative outline of what these three days will look like for participants; some activities are subject to change.
